போலியோ சொட்டு மருந்து முகாம்

வருகிற 20–ந் தேதி (ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை) போலியோ சொட்டு மருந்து முகாம்.

போலியோ சொட்டு மருந்து புகட்டும் முகாம் 1995–ல் தொடங்கி தொடர்ந்து 17–வது ஆண்டாக செயல்படுத்தப்படும் இந்த பணிகள் மூலம் 2004–க்கு பிறகு தமிழகத்தில் எந்த ஒரு இடத்திலும் போலியோ நோய் பாதிப்பு இல்லை என்ற நிலை ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது. மேலும் இத் தொடர் நடவடிக்கை மூலம் அடுத்துவரும் சில ஆண்டுகளில் நமது நாடு போலியோ நோய் அறவே ஒழிக்கப்பட்டுவிட்டது என்ற உலக சுகாதார நிறுவனத்தின் சான்றிதழ் பெற வாய்ப்பாக அமையும்

இந்நிலையை தக்கவைத்துக் கொள்ள, தமிழகத்தில், இந்த ஆண்டிற்கான, போலியோ சொட்டு மருந்து முகாம், ஜனவரி, 20ம் தேதி மற்றும் பிப்ரவரி, 24ம் தேதி, நடக்கிறது. இதற்காக, அரசு மருத்துவமனைகள், ஆரம்ப சுகாதார நிலையங்கள், பள்ளிகள், சத்துணவு மையங்கள் உள்ளிட்ட இடங்களில், 40 ஆயிரத்திற்கும் மேற்பட்ட சொட்டு மருந்து மையங்கள் அமைக்கப்படுகின்றன. போலியோ முகாம் நடக்கும் நாட்களில், பயணம் மேற்கொள்வோரின் வசதிக்காக, முக்கிய பேருந்து, ரயில் மற்றும் விமான நிலையங்களில், நகரும் மையங்களும், தொலைதூரம் மற்றும் எளிதில் செல்ல முடியாத பகுதிகளில் வசிக்கும் குழந்தைகளுக்காக, நடமாடும் குழுக்களும் ஏற்படுத்தப்படுகிறது.

இம்முகாமில், 2 லட்சத்திற்கும் மேற்பட்ட அரசு மற்றும் அரசு சாரா பணியாளர்கள் ஈடுபடுகின்றனர். குறிப்பிட்ட நாட்களில், காலை, 7:00 மணி முதல் மாலை, 5:00 மணி வரை, சொட்டு மருந்து வழங்கும் மையங்கள் செயல்படும்.

இவற்றின் மூலம், தங்களின், புதிதாக பிறந்த குழந்தைகள் உட்பட, 
5 வயதிற்குட்பட்ட அனைத்து குழந்தைகளுக்கும், அவர்களின் பெற்றோர், சொட்டு மருந்து வழங்குவது அவசியம்.
